Circa 1939 Image and Narrative contributed by Manorath Palan, Mumbai My Grandmother Rohini Palan studied at the Raja Ram Mohan High School at Girgaum. This picture was taken at a studio there. It is probably the same picture as the one I hear my Great-grandfather had shown of his daughter (my grandmother), to prospective grooms and fix her alliance, right after she returned from school. She lived a healthy and active life without any illness or old age related disorder. She passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in 2006.
